The invitation is addressed to all potential suppliers of products and services essential for the preparation, execution, servicing, and maintenance of offshore wind farms. It is an opportunity for companies to join the supply chain of this strategic project with a planned capacity of up to 1,560 MW, capable of supplying green energy to as many as 2 million households.
Polish companies as a vital offshore link
A key part of the event will be presentations by companies already cooperating with Equinor and Polenergia on the Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 projects. The success stories of Tele-Fonika Kable, Enprom, Erbud, MAG Offshore, and Smulders prove that Polish companies not only possess the right expertise but are also successfully competing in the demanding offshore market. Their experience will showcase best practices and serve as inspiration for other entities interested in joining the Bałtyk 1 supply chain.
During Supplier Day, the main assumptions of the project and specific cooperation areas will also be presented – from farm infrastructure engineering, through operational processes, to procurement packages. An important part of the agenda will be an overview of the Five Flagship Programs carried out by Equinor and Polenergia, which support Poland’s energy transition in many dimensions, including: building a competitive supply chain, developing local expertise, promoting innovation, engaging in dialogue with business partners, and initiating educational and environmental projects.
A project of strategic importance
Bałtyk 1 is the largest and most advanced offshore wind farm project in Poland’s Phase II development. The project has already entered the qualification process for participation in the auction scheduled for December this year. It has a grid connection agreement with transmission system operator PSE and a legally binding environmental decision. The project’s supply chain plan is also ready. Equinor and Polenergia estimate that up to 45% of the project’s implementation may be delivered by domestic companies. Construction permits and the final investment decision are planned for 2027, with the commercial phase scheduled to start in 2032.
Participation in Supplier Day is free of charge. Prior registration via the application form, available at this link, is required. The registration deadline is 9 September.
