An expert with international operational experience in building the value of the energy sector companies. He has been associated with Polenergia Group since 2012, where he is in charge of supervising Polenergia's investment portfolio in the field of strategy and business development, photovoltaics, and above all wind energy. Since 2001, he has been associated with the Kulczyk Investments Group where he held the position of Investment Director within the private equity operations of the Group in the oil & gas and energy sector. He graduated from Poznań University of Economics with a degree in Foreign Trade and completed post-graduate Executive Studies in Finance organized by the Warsaw School of Economics. In 2001, he was awarded a Ph.D. degree at Poznań University of Economics on the theory of shareholder value.

With Polenergia Group since 2011. Since 2020, he has been a Member of the Board and Chief Financial Officer. In the previous years, he managed Corporate Finance and Controlling Department responsible for financial planning and management reporting in the Group. He also led many processes of obtaining debt financing and participated in numerous M&A transactions. Prior to joining Polenergia, he gained professional experience at PwC where he specialized in financial risk management consultations for the largest financial institutions and enterprises in Poland and auditing financial statements of leading financial sector companies. A Warsaw School of Economics graduate with a degree in Finance and Banking. Completed Canadian Executive MBA studies organized by the University of Quebec at Montreal and Warsaw School of Economics as well as postgraduate studies in financial institutions risk management. He holds the AMCT title and is a member of the British Association of Corporate Treasurers.

Iwona Sierżęga

One of the few women in Poland in charge of managing the power sector companies. Active in the power industry for over 21 years. For several years, she served as CFO and then President of the Board and CEO of the 116 MW gas-fired CHP plant in Nowa Sarzyna being part of the Polenergia Group. Since 2019, she has been acting as a Member of the Management Board of Polenergia
S.A. in charge of supervising the Clean Fuels and Environmental Protection Division, where, among other things, new hydrogen projects are developed and sustainable business development operations are carried out. Since 2020, she has been a member of the Program Board of Global Compact Network Poland focusing on priority areas of the United Nations Global Compact such as human rights, environmental protection, labor rights, and freedom from corruption. A Cracow University of Economics graduate with a degree in finance and banking, postgraduate studies in accounting, and an MBA at Stockholm University of Business.

Jarosław Bogacz, PhD

Since 2019, a Polenergia Group associate acting as President of the Board of Polenergia Obrót. Employed in the power industry for 20 years where between 2005 and 2019 he has held various positions, including Director in charge of wholesale trading at EDF Group in Poland and Business Development Director at ENGIE Group in Poland. From 2015 to 2016, he was Advisor to the Minister of Economy for Renewable Energy and the first Chairman of the Renewable Energy Billing Operator. A member of the Board of the Polish Association of Professional Heat and Power Plants and Association of Electricity Trading and the Economic Association of Polish Power Plants. A graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. In 2019, completed his Ph.D. studies also at the Silesian University of Technology. In 2020, awarded a Ph.D. degree in Engineering and Technical Sciences at Silesian University of Technology.

A Group associate since 2004. Since 2016, Chief Operating Officer at Polenergia Group in charge of leading, maintaining, and executing all operational projects. Between 2008 and 2016, responsible in Polenergia Group and PEP Group for developing and carrying out industrial and conventional power projects. In the years 2004 – 2008, a person responsible for finances of the largest biomass industrial power project implemented by PEP Group in Mondi Świecie paper mill. Long-term operational experience gained in companies such as Telekomunikacja Polska, Sony Music Entertainment Polska, and Master Foods Polska. A Faculty of Management graduate at the University of Warsaw. In 2001, awarded an MBA degree at the University of Minnesota as part of the WEMBA program run by the Warsaw School of Economics and University of Minnesota.

Dominika Kulczyk

Supervisory Board Chairperson

She graduated from the Faculty of Sinology and the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. She was educated in Shanghai, Beijing, at the Rockefeller Foundation and at the Bertelsmann Foundation. She has many years of experience working in statutory bodies of commercial law companies. She has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Kulczyk Investments since 2013 and the Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of Kulczyk Investments from 2015 to 2018. Co-founder of Values Group of Consulting Firms which conducts training on business psychology. In 2013-2016 she was Vice-president of the Polish Olympic Committee. Initiator of the Polish branch of the environmental organization Green Cross International. Originator and co-founder of the Kulczyk Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance in Poland and around the world. She is a member of the Program Council of UN Global Compact Poland and an Ambassador of SOS Children's Villages in Poland. She is a member of Young Leaders for Tomorrow, a global initiative grouping together young leaders. In 2018, she was awarded with the Order of the Smile.

Thomas Joseph O’Brien

Tom O’Brien is a Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield’s Renewable Power Group, responsible for leading and developing the European business.
Mr. O'Brien joined Brookfield in 2014, following the acquisition of Bord Gaís Energy’s Irish renewable power business and has since held a number of roles across the organization, most recently acting as Chief Financial Officer for the European renewable power business. Prior to joining Brookfield, Mr. O’Brien held senior commercial and financial roles across several organizations.
Mr. O’Brien is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Szymon Adamczyk

Szymon Adamczyk started his professional career in Huta Ferrum S.A. in 1992; between 1993 and 2000, he was employed in the company at the position of the Car Department Manager, specialist and senior specialist for commercial issues. Between 2000 and 2002, he was a manager of the Sales Department and subsequently Sales Director and Sales Specialist in Marek Myśliwiec Sp. z o.o. Since December 2002, Szymon Adamczyk has been working for Alumetal, initially at the position of Commercial Director and since 2003 as member of the Management Board and Commercial Director, while between 2009 and 2013 as Deputy President of the Management Board. Between February 2013 and September 2018, he served as President of the Management Board in all Polish companies of the Alumetal Group. Furthermore, Mr Szymon Adamczyk has been serving as a Member of the Supervisory Board in U-Cont Sp. z o.o. since 2011 and since 2019 in Torpol S.A.
Szymon Adamczyk is a graduate of the Wincenty Pstrowski Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice; he also completed Post-Graduate Management Studies at the University of Economics in Katowice.

Orest Nazaruk

Supervisory Board Member

In 1997-2002 he worked for Arthur Andersen, first in the Audit Department responsible for audits of financial statements of banks and insurance companies, and then as a restructuring advisor for companies from the fuel and energy sector. Then, in 2002-2004, he worked for the Ministry of the State Treasury as Deputy Director of the Restructuring and State Aid Department, where he was responsible for preparing sectoral restructuring programs and exercising owner supervision over companies from the gas and fuel and energy sectors. In 2004-2006 Orest Nazaruk participated in the establishment and was a member of the first Management Board of Gas Transmission Operator Gaz-System. Subsequently, in 2006-2015, he worked at the following companies: Selbud Inwestycje, PGNiG Energia, PGNiG Technologie, where he held the positions of President, Member of the Management Board for Finance and Trading, and Management Board Proxy for Strategy and Restructuring. He was a member of numerous supervisory boards of companies in the gas, fuel and energy sectors (among others: Polish Power Exchange, Anwil, PKN Orlen, Mazowiecka Spółka Gazownictwa, Elektrociepłownia Stalowa Wola).
He graduated from the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw majoring in risk management on futures markets. He completed a number of training courses abroad, including on international accounting standards, strategic management, corporate restructuring, risk management with the use of derivatives in the gas and energy industry.

Ignacio Paz-Ares Aldanondo

Supervisory Board Member

Ignacio Paz-Ares Aldanondo is a senior vice-president in Brookfield's Renewable Energy Group, leading the team responsible for investment origination, analysis and execution across Europe. Mr. Paz-Ares Aldanondo joined Brookfield in 2015 and has held a number of investment roles in Brookfield's Renewable Energy Group in Europe. He has held his current role since 2019. Prior to joining Brookfield, Mr. Paz-Ares was an investment banking analyst at Citi. Mr. Paz-Ares Aldanondo holds a law and business studies degree from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid.

Emmanuelle Rouchel

Emmanuelle Rouchel has over twenty years of experience as a legal counsel. She joined Brookfield in 2015 and is senior vice-president and general counsel in Brookfield's European Renewable Energy Group. Prior to joining Brookfield, Emmanuelle Rouchel was senior counsel in the international upstream oil and gas sector. She began her career at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York, where she worked on cross-border M&A and capital markets transactions.
She completed postgraduate studies in law from Columbia University, where she was a Fulbright and Harlan Fiske Stone scholarship holder, studies at Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas, as well as economics studies at the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP) in Paris. She is an English solicitor and has also been admitted to the bar in New York and Paris.

Hans E. Schweickardt

Supervisory Board Member

He graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and completed postgraduate studies at Stanford University and INSEAD. He has over forty years of international project management experience in the European energy sector. Among other things, he was President and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Swiss energy company Alpiq and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Swiss Grid (Swiss grid operator). In addition, he has held managerial positions at ATEL and EOS (two energy companies that merged under Hans' leadership into Alpiq in 2009) and at ABB Group, a global energy/infrastructure company. He is Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the European Energy Exchange (EEX), Member of the Management Board of the European Power Exchange (Spot Market) EPEX Spot / Paris and Clearing Bank ECC. He was the founder of the European Energy Exchange in early 2000 in Frankfurt, when he served as CEO of the Exchange. He actively participated in the merger of EEX with another German exchange LPX.

Grzegorz Piotr Stanisławski

Polish economist, manager, from 2004 to 2006 he was Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Finance. Graduate in economics and was on scholarships in the United Kingdom and United States. From 1993 to 1998 he worked at the Gdańsk Institute for Market Economics conducting projects in the area of innovation policy, macroeconomics and overall economic situation; lecturer at universities. From 1998 to 2004 he was employed in Telekomunikacja Polska as Director of the Strategy and Business Development Department. In 2004 he was appointed Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Finance, responsible for computerization of the department, macroeconomic and financial policy, and EU funds. Member of the Board of the Kulczyk Foundation. Member of the Management Board of Polenergia International S.àr.l. Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Experior Venture Fund.
