Construction of the Rajkowy photovoltaic farm...

Construction of the Rajkowy photovoltaic farm has started – PLN 75 million investment will be ready in 2026

Polenergia, the largest privately-owned Polish energy group, has commenced construction of the Rajkowy photovoltaic farm (Pomeranian Voivodeship). The project, which will deliver approximately 37 GWh of annual electricity output, is being executed by Nomad Electric under an EPC contract (engineering, procurement, construction). At the peak of construction, up to 150 people will be involved in the project. Installation of the photovoltaic panels is scheduled to begin at the start of next year, with the plant expected to start generating green energy in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Preparatory works have been underway at the site since mid-September. Essential soil tests have been completed, enabling the selection of an appropriate support structure system for the photovoltaic modules. Construction facilities have been established, and production of the panels – supplied by Jinko Solar – has already begun.

The General Contractor is simultaneously carrying out procurement processes for key components, including the transformer and support structures. Polenergia is finalizing negotiations for the supply of inverters. The entire construction process is supervised by the Contract Engineer – Ayesa Polska.

he Rajkowy photovoltaic farm is another step in implementing Polenergia’s 2025 - 2030 strategy, which, alongside offshore wind projects in the Baltic Sea, also envisages further development of onshore renewable energy sources. These sources remain one of the cornerstones of our long-term strategy. This is also an important investment for the region.

The Rajkowy photovoltaic farm will cover an area of approximately 46 hectares and will be equipped with nearly 56,000 photovoltaic panels. The total value of the project is estimated at almost PLN 75 million.

Polenergia’s portfolio currently includes 13 wind farms and 8 photovoltaic farms with a total capacity of 642 MW. Just a few weeks ago, the company commissioned the Szprotawa I & II photovoltaic farms with a combined capacity of 67 MW. Once the Rajkowy farm is commissioned, the number of photovoltaic installations will rise to 9, and the total installed capacity of Polenergia’s onshore renewable sources will reach 677 MW.
