Grzegorz Łaguna Becomes Communication Director and Press Spokesman For Polenergia Group

Grzegorz Łaguna, until recently the Press Spokesman of Kulczyk Foundation, accepted the position of Communication Director and Press Spokesman of the Polenergia Group. He is going to supervise the area of communication and will report directly to the President of the Management Board. The Foundation and Polenergia are united in the person of Dominika Kulczyk, who is the President of Kulczyk Foundation and the Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of Polenergia.

Polenergia is the largest Polish private energy group. It comprises vertically integrated companies operating in the area of energy production from conventional and renewable sources, as well as distribution and trading of electric energy. Recently, the Group opened the largest wind farm in its history in Mazowsze and simultaneously one of the largest investments of this type in Poland.

The strategic project implemented by the Group is construction of wind farms in the Baltic Sea with a total capacity of 3000 MW.

Transition to Polenergia is a natural step in my career. After two years of work in the area of Dominka Kulczyk’s charity work, I accepted a new role in the company that is her most important business asset.

The new Communication Director of Polenergia joined Kulczyk Foundation two years ago as the Press Spokesman. Since that moment, the Foundation has implemented a number of awareness-raising projects about gender equality and menstrual health. One of the most important ones is the first Polish television campaign devoted to menstruation.

Recently, Dominika Kulczyk became the first Polish billionaire to appear on the cover of the American edition of Forbes, where she told about the major actions of Kulczyk Foundation and Polenergia.

I would like to thank President Michał Michalski and the entire Management Board for the trust they have shown to me. Joining one of the ten largest private companies in Poland is a huge honour for me, but also a great responsibility. In the next years, Polenergia will face significant challenges. The Group stands a change of becoming a significant player in Central and Eastern Europe, providing its clients with fully green energy even today. Being aware that I will be able to support the company in accomplishing such ambitious goal is a source of immense professional satisfaction for me.
