Polenergia as a partner of the Malta Festival and the opera “A Monster’s Voice” concluding Poland’s EU Council Presidency

For the second time, Polenergia Group has become a partner of the Poznań Malta Festival, which kicks off this Friday – a remarkable event on the cultural map of Poland and Europe. The program of this special jubilee edition of the Malta Festival will feature over 100 artistic events. The grand finale will present the world premiere of the opera "A Monster’s Voice," inspired by the works of Agnieszka Holland and directed by Agnieszka Smoczyńska. This performance will conclude the Festival and simultaneously mark the end of Poland’s presidency in the Council of the European Union. Polenergia is the Main Partner of this unique cultural event.

This Year’s 35th Edition of the Malta Festival: A Celebration of Diversity, Openness, and Artistic Fusion

The 35th Malta Festival promises to shine with diversity, openness, and the blending of ideas, people, and various art forms. Over nine festival days, the audience will witness a total of 111 artistic events created or performed live by over 500 artists from across Europe. These events will take place in specially designated zones as well as directly on the streets of the city.

As in the previous year, Polenergia is partnering with the entire Malta Festival. As part of this collaboration, visitors can enjoy our Green Zone located on the festival grounds. The zone offers a wealth of attractions, including screen printing workshops and “green activities.”

Polenergia as the Main Patron of the World Premiere of the Opera “A Monster’s Voice”

We are honored to be the Main Patron of the world premiere of the opera “A Monster’s Voice,” inspired by Agnieszka Holland’s work “Europa, Europa.” This production marks the conclusion of both the Malta Festival and Poland’s presidency in the Council of the European Union.

The opera, prepared by the Baltic Opera, is directed by Agnieszka Smoczyńska (“Fugue,” “The Lure”), with music composed by Alek Nowak and a libretto by Robert Bolesta (screenwriter of “The Last Family”).

The world premiere of “A Monster’s Voice,” under Polenergia’s patronage, will take place on June 27 and 28 as the grand finale of the Malta Festival. Following this, the Baltic Opera in Gdańsk will present the production as part of the Baltic Opera Festival on July 12. Later in the autumn, it will be featured at the Eufonie Festival.

The Malta Festival runs from June 20 to 28 in Poznań. Polenergia is proud to sponsor this exceptional event for the second year in a row.
