Polenergia Resolves Dispute with Tauron, to Supply Electricity Worth PLN 500 Million Over 10 Years

Companies from the Polenergia Group, Poland's largest private energy group, Amon and Talia, have reached settlements with TAURON Polska Energia and Polska Energia – Pierwsza Kompania Handlowa to amicably resolve disputes concerning electricity sales contracts and green certificates. Under the agreement, Polenergia's wind farms will supply electricity valued at approximately PLN 500 million under 10-year contracts.

As a result of the settlements, Amon and Talia will fulfill, under terms agreed upon through negotiations, electricity sales contracts with Tauron Polska Energia. These contracts pertain to electricity generated at Polenergia’s wind farms in Łukaszów (Amon) and Modlikowice (Talia).

The agreements will be effective for a 10-year period starting June 1, 2025, with the total estimated electricity volume sold to Tauron amounting to approximately 1.2 TWh. The contracts’ total value is estimated at around PLN 300 million for Amon and PLN 200 million for Talia. Additionally, both Polenergia subsidiaries will receive a one-time compensation payment totaling PLN 15 million.
