Following the conclusion of 10-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Tauron Group worth a total of PLN 500 million for energy supply, both companies have gained the ability to obtain financing on favorable terms.
The settlement and the securing of long-term PPAs paved the way for refinancing existing projects under very attractive conditions. The funds obtained in this way will, among other uses, support the development of new generation capacities. This example of refinancing perfectly aligns with the objectives of our new strategy for 2025–2030.
At the end of Q1 this year, Polenergia published its strategy for 2025–2030, in which the key priorities include the development of offshore wind farms, as well as the expansion of onshore generation sources and the utilization of energy storage systems.
We see potential for further refinancing of other wind farms within Polenergia’s portfolio. This will allow us to unlock additional funds for development. Efficient use of capital held within the company and constant optimization of our financing structure are our top priorities during this dynamic growth phase of Polenergia.
By 2030, the Group plans to significantly increase its installed renewable energy capacity from nearly 0.6 GW today to 1.5 GW. The Group’s EBITDA, including the results generated by the Bałtyk 2 and 3 offshore wind farms, is expected to rise to PLN 1.6 billion.
