Skanska with green energy from Polenergia

The Krakow, Poznań and Warsaw investments of Skanska office company are powered in 100 percent from renewable sources of Polenergia Group. Polenergia Sprzedaż is responsible for the execution of the contract, which guarantees annual supplies of 10 GWh of green energy in a standard unique on the Polish market - Energia2051. The standard, unique on the Polish market and confirmed by a TÜV SÜD certificate, sets the direction that can be followed by all individual and business electricity consumers wishing to reduce their carbon footprint.

Since the beginning of 2022, Polenergia Sprzedaż has been supplying D1 and D2 office buildings within the Nowy Rynek development in Poznań, the Generation Park Y building in Warsaw and phase III of the High5ive office complex in Krakow with energy exclusively from Polenergia Group’s Polish wind and photovoltaic farms. Thus, the office buildings developed by Skanska, which use green RES energy, generate a smaller carbon footprint and create an excellent environment for business development. They are healthy and comfortable for their users, and fit well into the surrounding urban fabric.

The Energia2051 Standard is Poland’s only offer for electricity from RES sources, in which 100 per cent green energy is supplied to the customer every hour of consumption. The standard is 30 years ahead of the market, as it already meets the guidelines of the European Green Deal assuming the necessity of supplying zero-emission energy from 2050. A confirmation of the highest quality of green energy sales offer in the Energia2051 standard is the TÜV SÜD Certificate, a globally recognised symbol of quality and safety, which is received by every customer purchasing renewable energy from Polenergia Sprzedaż.

Polenergia Sprzedaż, operating on the Polish market, cooperates with partners who meet high quality criteria and confidently pursue a sustainable development strategy. Skanska has been known for energy-efficient and green building for years. It values sustainable solutions and aims to reduce CO2 emissions. We are proud that together with the Skanska Group we can support the transformation of the Polish economy towards zero-emission economy and together with a developer of such high standards we create the green transformation of the office market in Poland.

Marcin Frątczak

member of the Management Board of Polenergia Sprzedaż responsible for the business client market

As a responsible developer, we place great importance on reducing our carbon footprint and obtaining energy from sources other than installations located in nature reserves. What is important for us, we have the supplier's assurance that these sources are 100 percent indigenous. Thus, the terms of the contract with Polenergia Sprzedaż meet the assumptions of our policy of sustainable development and reduction of carbon dioxide emissions - so far we have managed to reduce them by 46 percent compared to 2015.
